Evoke Series
Over the past months, I have been developing a new series. It’s been an exciting time bringing to life ideas which have been percolating for some time, working with a new colour palette, and playing with paint – resulting in the Evoke series.
Featuring expressive floral forms the series combines a mix of rich, vibrant colours with soft restful earth tones. Evoking gardens and places I have visited, these paintings bring the outdoors inside in soothing measures, and remind us of the rejuvenating energy of nature.
Moving towards abstraction, the Evoke series bring together sculptural impasto with bold, gestural brushstrokes that mix and move the colours across the canvas. Expect to see large statement works, as well as mid-sized paintings in the first collection that will be released in May.
