FAQs

Q: All the paintings on your website are sold, how do people purchase your work?

My website shows only a sample of my work and new paintings are sold through my mailing list. Subscribers receive email updates and images of new paintings as they are completed (along with prices & descriptions) and can contact me if they wish to purchase.

Q: Do you ship your paintings to international destinations?

Yes, I’m happy to provide international shipping quotes and I'm experienced in safely shipping paintings to your door whether within New Zealand or overseas. My paintings are shipped by courier nationally and by air internationally in custom-built wooden art crates.

Any International duties or import taxes are not covered by my shipping quotes and are the buyer’s responsibility.

Q: What is impasto?

A beautiful Italian word that translates as ‘dough’. It's also part of art vocabulary and this definition sums it up well:

Impasto is a technique used in painting, where paint is laid on an area of the surface in very thick layers, usually thick enough that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible. Paint can also be mixed right on the canvas. When dry, impasto provides texture; the paint appears to be coming out of the canvas.

Q: Do you paint to commission?

Yes, I enjoy working with buyers to paint commissions for their homes or corporate space. This process begins with the series they are interested in followed by the size, shape, colours etc. - this becomes a nice collaboration between me and the client.

I am fully booked for commissions this year as I like to balance my commission commitments with enough time to paint new collections for my mailing list.

Q: Can I buy prints from the Opulence series?

Yes, I now have a selection of some of my favourite Opulence paintings available as limited edition prints in my Shop.
